I bought this unit from Sears in 2007, cost 600.00 new. I used it for 2 years, would guess put about 250 to 300 miles on it. Last couple years due to cancer, have not been able to use it, and do not see me using it anymore in future.
Today, fitness equipment can often be intimidating, overly complicated or difficult to use – especially for first time users. To combat this issue, Horizon Fitness developed the RST5.6 treadmill, which incorporates a new technology designed to simplify user operation and increase safety.
The treadmill uses a new display technology called PERFECTview™, which allows users to adjust the console display for optimal viewing. Similar to a laptop computer screen that folds up and down, PERFECTview can be adjusted to achieve a viewing angle that is easy to read and reduces glare. To further enhance ease-of-use, the console features a blue LCD screen, which is easy on the eyes and makes information gathering fast and easy.
"This new display technology is ideal for people who are above or below average in height, or perhaps have less than perfect eyesight," Olson said. "Users have the freedom and flexibility to customize the display based on their individual needs. This makes treadmill use simple and less intimidating."
In addition to the PERFECTview technology, the RST5.6 is designed to perform. The treadmill is powered by a strong, 1.75 hp continuous-duty motor with a digital drive system. The digital drive offers consistent, quiet speed and smooth transitions between speeds. Users can operate the treadmill between .5 and 10 mph with an incline range between zero and 10 percent.
The RST5.6 features a large, 20" x 55" running area with the ORTHOflex™ cushioning system, which reduces stress to the joints and lower back. When not in use, the treadmill folds up using the SOFTdrop™ lift system, which incorporates a hydraulic shock for fast, safe storage.
Other key features include six preset programs, a handgrip heart rate monitor and a strong, durable frame with a weight capacity of 275 lbs. Horizon offers a lifetime warranty on the frame and an eight-year warranty on the motor.
